Search engines are the primary source of data gathering process in this point of time. There would be no one who wouldn’t know what search engines are, especially what Google is. Whenever someone needs any sort of information related to anything on the entire planet, he goes for a search engine. There are so many search engines available on internet, most of them are the ones we don’t know about. Here, I have gathered the top 5 search engines of United Kingdom that are the most utilized ones.

1. Ask Jeeves

Ask Jeeves is the most popular search engine of UK, as it provides search for web sites, images, news, blogs, videos, local search and shopping, maps and directions. One of the most noticeable qualities of Ask Jeeves search engine is that it has a very user friendly interface and there are many customized themes that you can apply to your Ask Jeeves page to make it look even more better. The ask Jeeves logos design is great to look at. It has all those 3 colors that represent strong, trendy, elegant and positive elements, which are Black, white and Red.

2. AOL Search

The AOL Search engine (formerly known as America Online) provides great search results which are enhanced by Google, with relevant multimedia results delivered on a single page. Site navigation is easy and nice for the eyes to look. The AOL search engine logos design has only one color that is blue, but in 2 different shades with “enhanced by Google” caption below. I will call this logo “exceedingly Elegant”. The search engine can be accessed by this address; http://www.search.aol.com.

3. Google

Who doesn’t know about Google and its logo? I guess no one. So let’s talk less about this one. In short, Google is a search engine that has become a legendary statement for all of the Google’s products, services and websites. Same goes to the Google logo, it has been so many years and Google still hold the same logo, why? The reason is simple; it’s simple and cool!

Hot Wheels Logos- Too Hot To Handle

Hot Wheels are die-cast model vehicles, and were introduced on September 7, 1968. A range of highly detailed collector vehicles including replicas of Formula One cars and NASCAR have found success. The brand is highly famous for the small scale free rolling models of custom hot rods and muscle cars. Over the years, around 10,000 different Hot Wheel Car models have been produced.

Hot Wheel logos:
Every hot wheel logo has the striking quality of audience attraction. Power, attitude and style are the elements of hot wheel logos that appeal every kid out there. There have been different logo designs of hot wheels and all of them are as great as the product itself. Hot wheels are the best kid’s automobile toys manufacturing company of all times. The toys they make are stylish trendy and affordable.

Still Hot in Black and white:

Even when you look at the black and white hot wheels logo, you will realize that it is still effective without colors. At the other hand, when you take out the colors from any other company’s logo design you will see that the logo won’t stay that efficacious anymore. You can give credit to hot wheels logo design for this achievement.

Awesome illustrations of hot wheels:

It’s not only the logos of hot wheels that are stylish but also the illustrations they make such as; Wallpapers, banners, video games, etc. All of their illustrations are commendable, which is a sign of successful graphics designing.

Primary colors:

Red and yellow. these are the primary colors of hot wheels logos which suit these logos in a great way and I think no other color could go in this much concordance (some hot wheel logos contain white and black colors too but they aren’t primary). No matter which color you put on hot wheel’s logo background the logo looks awing even on the hot wheel merchandise such as t shirts and caps.

Hot wheels is one of the most likable and kid friendly company that knows what are children’s desires and on top of that they know how to deliver the products to the masses which makes hot wheels what it is today.

Get The “F” OUT- Why WWF Changed Its Name And Logo To WWE?

World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE), a publicly traded corporation (formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation), is a media recognized organization leader in the global entertainment. WWE is a company that produces and delivers original content 52 weeks a year to the global audience. WWE is devoted to family-friendly, PG (Parental Guidance) content across all of its platforms including television programming, pay-per-views, Movies, Commercials, digital media and publishing.

Eight years ago, The World Wrestling Entertainment which was known as world wrestling federation (WWF) for almost 20 years, changed not only its name and logo but its entire look. In year 2000, the World Wildlife Fund (also known as WWF), an environmental organization now called the World Wide Fund for Nature, sued the WWF (world wrestling federation). A British court of justice corresponded that Titan Sports (On which WWF used to go on air) had violated a 1994 agreement which had a limitation of the permissible use of the WWF letters overseas, especially in merchandising.

Consequently, on May fifth 2002, the company quietly changed all mentioning on its web site from WWF to WWE, while changing the URL from WWF.com to WWE.com. However the WWF was actually the World Wrestling Federation Entertainment (WWFE), but the extra E never made it to television because team WWF simply cut off the two lines from the 2nd “W” of the WWF logo initials instead of adding another line to convert the F into an E.

In my opinion, The Word WWF was great, as it always seemed right to pronounce or call as well as the entire term “world wrestling federation”. Even the WWF commentators such as Jerry the king Lawler and Good ol’ Jim Ross mistakenly said WWF instead of new WWE for couple of weeks in each show. The word "Entertainment” just doesn't flow right in my opinion, which is why even the champions are known solely as; intercontinental championship, unified tag team champions etc.

When a company needs to change its name and logo, it has to make sure that the new logo or the name would be easier for people to cope with, not something that would make people stutter for years and years, here WWF/WWE lost a big point. Likewise, a company has to change the name and the logo in a manner that people don’t feel negative about the company. However in this part WWF played safely and came up with some great fun commercials with various WWF logos getting the horizontal lines removed. Sometimes they shown a WWF figure walking into a barber shop and asking the barber to cut off his F to change his hair style and sometimes that WWF figure was seen to be Booed by girls for not being cool so he gets rid of this “F”. They even came out with a brand new t-shirt that read "Get the "F" Out!” which also means a slang/abuse phrase which is used to tell someone to go away. By this phrase Vince McMahan taunted the world wildlife fund for costing them their good ol’ name.

A Custom Logo Design Is The Only Option That Can Lead You To Success!

When a company plans to get a logo design, the first question that rises up is; which type of logo would be appropriate to depict the business image in the best way to the potential clients? As there are many types of logos available for you to choose from, it’s really important to make sure that the logo you decide to attain is in the accordance with your business plans. Many times it happens that a business gets a wrong type of logo designed which turns out as the ultimate descend for the company.

There are many ways to obtain a logo design. Many people like to create a logo by the help of a logo designing software, whereas; many people download images from internet and modify them by different ways so they can use those images as a part of their logo.

As an honest suggestion, I would never recommend you any of these options because they are totally inappropriate and useless when it comes to a mature business planning.

Moving further, I will explain two of the most common ways to design a logo which are called; readymade logo design and custom logo design.

• Readymade logo design or Premade logo designs:

This type of logo is easily available on internet which can be effortlessly downloaded within seconds. The idea behind readymade logos is that one can get the basic logo image and simply put in his business name along with its slogan with the help of an image editing software and save a lot of money. There are many websites that even give you a readymade logo for free, but what you need to think is that if a website is offering free readymade logos then how many people have already used the same logo designs, and how many will use them in near future!!! Just imagine, so many people using the same logo as yours with different names on it, won’t it ruin your business identity once and for all?

• Custom logo designs:

This type of logo design is the best option for any business and is gained by a proper planning, graphic designing skills and by spending some cash. A custom logo design is highly recommended because a custom made logo is the one that is created by scratch with the use of appropriate theme based elements. Also, the process of custom logo design starts after a thorough strategizing process as a logo holds a valuable worth for any business. If you can’t design a logo yourself you can acquire the services of a logo design consultancy to avoid any tribulations.

Hence, if you compare the readymade logos to the custom made logos by putting the above mentioned details you can easily distinguish which one is the right choice for your precious business.

10 SIGNS OF AN UNFORTUNATE LOGO DESIGN (PART 2)

Nobody wants to be called the owner of a poor logo design; therefore I took the task to uncover the wrong doings of logo designing so you can avoid those mistakes which can possibly make YOUR logo poor too. In the previous part of this article I uncovered the 5 signs of an unfortunate logo design. In this part I am going to continue the count from where I left it;

6. It is overly complex: Overly intricate logos can be designed easily but they don’t scale well when printed or viewed in smaller sizes. This is the reason why wise designers avoid putting so many elements in one logo design. The simpler the logo is, the nicer it would appear on both web and paper.

7. It relies on colors for its effects: many designers can’t wait to add colors to a logo design, and some completely depend on them. This is a fact that every company will need to put colors in its logo sooner or later but it does not mean that the colors should be put in the logo right away. Colors can be selected later on as a true logo is the one that looks nice even when it’s without colors. Subsequently, color selection should be your last decision and starting the work in black and white will do the best.

8. It has Poor choice of font: Bad selection of fonts can ruin the entire look of the logo image. When a designer experiments with different fonts by putting them into a logo, many funky fonts catch his attention and he decides to choose one of them, which is definitely a wrong decision and back fires later on. Reason being, free style fonts are the most intricate ones to understand and start to look out-dated very soon unlike the ones which are formal and professional looking.

9. It possesses too many fonts: Use of too many fonts is just like trying to show someone a whole photo album at once. Each font has different qualities, and the viewer needs time to recognize it. Seeing too many fonts at once can cause real confusion. Maximum two fonts of different styles is a standard practice for good logo designers. Staying under 2 fonts significantly improves the legibility of a logo and improves brand recognition.

10. It is copied/ plagiarized: Unfortunately, in today’s time copying has become a part of many designers’ practice. Copying someone else’s work is not a professional act as a plagiarized logo can be caught any time, if not then it won’t work in the long run because people may find it resembled to some other logo.

In a nutshell, a logo is the image of an entire business, and to acquire a nice logo you have to avoid the wrong-doings mentioned in this article and its previous part. If you do so, I guarantee you a successful logo design.

10 SIGNS OF AN UNFORTUNATE LOGO DESIGN (PART 1)

You can find many effective “how to create a logo” articles and tutorials in which you are suggested to use particular colors , fonts and other elements to make your logo better, but it’s hard to find the tips on “what to avoid in a logo design”. So I decided to tell you the top 10 signs of a poor logo (5 here and 5 in the next part). It doesn’t matter if the design is made by a professional logo designer or an amateur; the only important thing is to avoid all of wrong doings of logo designing.

Here are the characteristics of a terrible logo design which you should avoid in your logo:

1. It is designed by an amateur: just to save some money, you give it to any of your friend or cousin so he can design it for free despite of the fact that he doesn’t know anything about logo designing. Or in other case you design it yourself thinking that only you can make justify it. These kinds of amateur logos can be recognized in one glimpse.

2. It relies on trends: Focusing on current logo trends will back fire big time as nothing stays the same forever, only change is consistent. A time will come when your “Trendy” logo will be left behind. Therefore the responsibility of logo designers is to create a unique identity for the client, so completely ignoring the logo design trends will work best for you.

3. It uses raster images: Only the inexpert designers use raster images in this point of time as there is a superior option of vector graphics available. Raster images hold fewer options as they lose their quality when stretched or reduced, at the other hand a vector image can be easily re-sized without the fear of damaging its pixel quality.

4. It contains stock art: the use of stock art can ruin your business image once and for all, as it is not copyrighted anyone can file a lawsuit against you anytime about the logo being stolen. Therefore you should always use copyrighted images in your logo so you can feel secure and trouble free.

5. Logo designer designs it for himself rather than the client: When a logo designer finds some new tool, font or technique of logo designing he wants to apply it on a logo as soon as possible. For this, he finds a client’s logo the best subject. What happens when someone experiments with your logo? You know it well. This kind of immature experimental act is not the right thing at all and can be distinguished easily.

These were only the 5 mistakes which are frequently made in logo designing which lead a logo to the path of devastation. For the next 5 you have to read the next part of this article which will be published soon.

Ask an athlete and he will tell you the importance of a good start. 100 meter sprinters spend hours and hours practicing their take off because they know that with a good start they can amplify their chances to win the race many folds. In today’s competitive business world your business is also like a race and as I said your start is very important if you don’t want to lose. Among all the things which you need to start a business in a winning fashion is an out of the park business logo design.

Your business logo is the ambassador of your company. You can’t go out talking or convincing every potential customer but your logo can do that for you. It can take you places you wouldn’t even know about and connect you the hearts and minds of the people and convey everything about your business at first sight. For that your business logo design should be so good that it yells out your company and business when anyone takes a look at it.

These are thing you need to know whenever you need to design a logo for your business yourself or hire a logo designing service.

Uniqueness

You business logo should be a stand out logo which can efficiently represent your business identity in a distinctive and innovative manner. It should be something which your market competitors are not. Something which the customers can mark out as a difference as soon as they see it and it can create a long lasting impression in their minds. Your logo design should personalize your business in a way no other competitor does.

Business name

Your logo should also have your company name embodied in it so that everyone can recognize the company every time they see your logo. Create an abbreviation for your business name if you can. This can make you a word of mouth in a short period of time. Like KFC, most of the people who have their luncheon everyday at KFC don’t even know what KFC stands for but they recognize it like the back of their hand.

Brand Identity

A logo design is a resource to represent small business enterprises therefore your custom logo design should portray a creative image among its target audience. Once your business logo is successful enough to deliver the creative image of your business among its target audience, then it wouldn’t be longer for your business to occupy a unique place in today’s competitive environment.

Your business logo must represent what your business stands for; therefore a custom logo design plays a major role in order to convey the message concealed behind small business enterprises logo. But the message in the logo design must be readable and credible for the readers to pick up a business logo message at a glance. To make the message of business logo clear, business needs the services from logo designing experts.

Catchy Slogans

The first thing that’s going to divert reader’s attention while seeing a business logo design is its slogan. Slogan of a business logo should appeal reader’s eye. No doubt catchy slogan of a logo design makes the reader to influence with the logo in order to grasp the message behind a logo design. In short more catchy the slogan of a business logo more customers whether potential or actual it will attract.

Interchangeability

Your logo design should be designed in a fashion that it can be changed later on if needed. Interchangeability assures how safer your business logo is. Since change is inevitable; therefore small businesses must keep on changing their logos in order to occupy a stand out place in today’s dynamic environment.

Colour and Fonts

Colours used in a custom logo design should be relevant to a business but your business logo design shouldn’t contain dark colours as such colours can hide your business message while font size should neither be very large nor be very short to make sure that your logo design portrays your business message creatively among its target audience.

File formats

It’s a better option to use vector images for your logo design so that your logo can be edit easily later if required, therefore logo designing experts use vector graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, Free hand and Corel Draw to insert vector images to a logo design with file extensions .EPS, .AI .CDR and .SWF.

I am sure you have grasped the idea how logo design can build a creative image of small businesses in style.
