Effective Logo design Process

A logo is basically an illustration of your entire company image. A professionally designed logo attracts attention and leaves an everlasting impression in people's minds. A good logo will help you to generate trust and brand recognition which is vital for your business.

Logo designing involves a lot of creative thinking and hard work. It is not simply a combination of few colors, shapes and lines.

Here is the logo design process which will guide you in making a good logo:

The Design Brief:

The brief should introduce the business, its industry, history, mission and vision. It aims to give a clear picture of your business and your marketing message. The best way to do it is by providing the client with a questionnaire. The questionnaire includes target audience, budget, communication objective and usage of the campaign.

Doing A Research:

The next stage is to conduct a painstaking research on the client business which is crucial step in making a successful logo. This research includes the brief history of the company, its services, products, competitors and the audience. Also conducts visual research by looking for designs, colors, graphics, shapes, lines and fonts in inspirational sites. Find logos of similar business and evaluate them.

Time To Sketch:

After you have thought about the design elements, you have some concrete ideas about the logo. Experienced logo artists first start off by doing pencil sketching. It is always wiser to start off with hand sketches before working with softwares. Make sure that they use vector software to customize the images.

Getting client’s Feedback:

Professional logo designers show the progress of their work to the client. If there are any changes to be made, they can be made while working. Sometimes the entire design needs to be customized as per client requirements. This is the reason it is better to inform clients about the work while you are designing. It saves time and effort.

Presenting the Final Design:

After client’s feedback, it is time to make a final presentation of the logo. You should present it on the software explaining the concept of the chosen design. You will surprisingly find that it won't take you as much time and that you will have a clear vision of what you want from the logo.

Final Delivery:

This is the easiest task of all. Once the client approves of the design, deliver the project in a DVD or CD format. Make sure it is in different version so that the client can use it on multiple mediums.

If you follow above mentioned logo designing process so you can make an eye catching logo through which you can stand out from your competitors, attract customers and promote your business.
